All tutoring sessions take place in the comfort of your home, providing a convenient and familiar environment for your child to learn and succeed!
 

2. What subjects do you offer tutoring in?

 

We offer tutoring in all core subjects including Math, English, Science, and Social Studies for elementary and middle school students; however, we have noticed that we typically focus on the main areas of Math and Reading for most of our students. We also specialize in helping newly emerging readers start their reading journey (ages 3-5 typically)! We also offer homeschool support to families in need of extra support, in any of the mentioned subject areas. 

 

3. What grades do you offer tutoring for? 

 

We specialize in Elementary and Middle School Tutoring for grades Pre-K through 8th Grade. 

 

4. How are your tutors qualified? 

 

All our tutors are certified teachers and/or have a background in Education, in addition to extensive in-classroom experience and a passion for teaching. 

 

5. Do you offer an initial assessment session?

 

Yes, we offer an assessment session to evaluate your child's current academic level and tailor our tutoring approach to meet their specific needs.

 

6. What are your hours of operation?

 

Tutoring sessions are available Monday through Thursday. We offer tutoring throughout the day into evening to accommodate both homeschool and in-school students’ schedules. We book sessions starting at 10am until 7pm. 

 

7. How do we choose our tutoring schedule? 

 

We strive to accommodate your schedule as much as possible. Before starting services, we will have a detailed discussion with you to establish the most convenient schedule according to our availability and yours. Tutoring sessions are typically scheduled for either Monday and Wednesday or Tuesday and Thursday. To ensure the best learning outcomes, we require two days of tutoring per week, with consistent session times on both days for optimal learning continuity.

 

8. Will we always have the same tutor, and do we get to choose the tutor? 

 

For the most part, your child will have the same tutor for an extended period of time. However, there may be occasional changes due to unforeseen circumstances. Rest assured, all of our tutors are thoroughly trained in our Fun Tutor system and can seamlessly continue from where the previous tutor left off. Tutors are matched based on your location in Gainesville to ensure consistency and convenience. Every tutor on our team is highly trained and equally capable of providing exceptional support to any student.

 

9. Are your tutors background-checked?

 

Yes, all our tutors undergo thorough background checks to ensure your child's safety.

10. How do you measure progress?

 

We assess progress through comprehensive skill-check evaluations at the end of each session, which help us ensure knowledge retention and identify areas that may require further focus. In addition, feedback from our tutors and monitoring improvements in school performance provide valuable insights into each student's development, allowing us to tailor our approach for optimal results.

 

11. How long are the tutoring sessions?

 

Our standard tutoring session lasts 1 hour, but for students who need extra support and learning time, we also offer extended 1.5-hour sessions.

 

12. What happens if we need to cancel a session?

 

We understand life happens, especially with kiddos! If you need to cancel a session, please provide your tutor with at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a late cancellation fee. To avoid additional session cancellation fees, you can reschedule your session with your tutor to the last Friday of the month. 

 

13. Do you provide online tutoring as well?

 

Yes, we offer both in-home and online tutoring options to accommodate different preferences and needs.

 

14. How do we pay for tutoring sessions? 

 

Payment for tutoring sessions is simple and seamless! We automatically charge the card you have on file every Friday for the week's sessions. No need to worry about reminders—it's all taken care of!

 

15. What happens if we need to stop tutoring services or don’t need them anymore? 

 

You can cancel tutoring services at any time—no commitment required! We understand that plans can change, or students are ready to fly solo, and we're here to make the process easy and flexible for you.
