Hi there! I'm Daryl, Owner and Director at The Fun Tutor. Throughout my childhood, “playing school” was always my favorite activity! Over time, I became certain that my future would involve teaching and inspiring children. This passion led me to pursue my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Florida. During my time at UF, I earned my Reading Endorsement, ESOL Endorsement, Florida Teaching Certificate, and gained extensive classroom experience. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to providing tailored one-on-one tutoring support — and I’ve never looked back! Years later, I now have the pleasure of tutoring alongside a wonderful small team of teachers who share my passion for individualized learning. One unique thing about me as a teacher is that I love to make my lessons as creative and engaging as possible! I describe myself as the cheerleader of my students — they know that Mrs. D brings the hype and excitement to learning! Encouraging and uplifting them means the world to me. When I’m not teaching, you can find me at the beach, visiting the springs, exercising, cooking, or spending time with my loved ones. I like to describe myself as bubbly, outgoing, and friendly — someone who truly values making a difference in the lives of others.

In my free time, I enjoy dancing, long walks, and baking delightful treats. Hello! My name is Ms. Nadya, and I bring eight years of experience in education as a classroom teacher, private tutor, and homeschool instructor. I have worked with students from early childhood through adulthood across a variety of subject areas. My passion as a tutor is individualizing instruction by meeting students where they are academically and getting to know them as individuals first. I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel seen, respected, and motivated to grow. Outside of teaching, I enjoy traveling, creating art, and spending time outdoors staying active. With over 15 years of experience in both general and special education classrooms, I've honed my skills as a general education teacher, special education teacher, administrator, and tutor. My approach involves close collaboration with students and their families to support and enhance student learning. I am dedicated to creating engaging, multisensory, and enjoyable lessons, enabling students to reach their fullest potential. Outside the classroom, I enjoy creative activities like drawing, needlepoint, and gardening. I find renovation projects to be highly rewarding, and currently, I am pursuing studies in construction management. My passion for learning, research, and reading is unwavering. I take great joy in witnessing those "lightbulb" moments when students finally grasp challenging concepts after persistent effort. Instilling a lifelong love of learning in my students is profoundly rewarding and fulfilling for me.
